Fullerton, CA  – Adams Rite Aerospace has been awarded a contract with a major US airline for its new Touchfree™ Aircraft Lavatory Waste Flap, with scheduled entry into service in Q4 2023. Adams Rite Aerospace Touchfree™ products address both passengers’ expectations for higher hygiene and health standards, as well as airlines’ needs for more reliable products.

“Passengers just don’t want to touch the waste flap in the lavatory.  This product gives passengers a more pleasant and hygienic lavatory experience. Our Touchfree™ Waste Flap includes unique sensor technology that makes it ultra-reliable, lightweight and energy-efficient.” says Adams Rite Aerospace Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ali Dadvar. “As it allows each passenger to reliably discard their towels or other personal items by opening widely and reliably at each contactless activation, the Touchfree™ Waste Flap also strongly contributes to keeping the lavatory area cleaner and removes a significant part of the cleaning burden for the Cabin Crew during flight.”

Adams Rite Aerospace Touchfree™ Waste Flap  is compatible to use on the counter top or on the side of the vanity. It is fitted with seal for fire containment and can also work mechanically if needed.

Adams Rite Touchfree™ Lavatory Products also include new generation faucets, flush switches, and soap dispensers.  For over 50 years, Adams Rite Aerospace has been the leader in aerospace lavatory equipment technology. Our continuous improvement of faucet design and Touchfree™ sensor technology has yielded well-tuned, discreet, and highly-efficient component packages that specifically address airlines’ needs for more efficient operations and passengers’ expectations for improved travel experience.   Learn more at www.araero.com and visit us at booth 5B20 at AIX in Hamburg.
