Adams Rite Aerospace awarded first contract for new Touchfree™ Aircraft Lavatory Product Suite

Fullerton, CA  – Adams Rite Aerospace has secured its first contract with a major US airline for its new Touchfree™ Aircraft Lavatory Product Suite, with scheduled entry into service in Q4 2022.  Touchfree™ products address both passengers’ expectations for higher hygiene and health standards, as well as airlines’ needs for lighter and more reliable products.

“The heart of the Touchfree™ Lavatory Product Suite is our new Touchfree™ faucet, which consolidates decades of touchless faucets expertise to deliver the most efficient and robust product on the market. In addition, the faucet’s precise infrared sensor is tuned for each lavatory configuration, giving passengers a reliable, hands-free experience” says Adams Rite Aerospace Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ali Dadvar.

Available in a wall or deck-mounted design, Touchfree™ faucets can replace all electronic or mechanical faucets currently installed on commercial aircraft.  The use of advanced materials leads to weight savings from 40% to 80% compared to existing mechanical and IR faucets, further supporting the business case for fleet-wide retrofits.

For over 50 years, Adams Rite Aerospace has been the leader in aerospace faucet technology. Our continuous improvement of faucet design and Touchfree™ sensor technology has yielded well-tuned, discreet, and highly-efficient component packages that specifically meet airlines’ needs and passengers’ expectations.
